  • Doesn't mean to say they will use them, or even use them properly... I know it's not some backwater village but still, there's always the possibility someone will be lax over their handling of their gift...

Wow, nice. I wonder if there will be a spate of robberies over the next few weeks...
Its for all the hard work at the WoW gold farms they've put in last week.
  • HAahahahahahahahaahahahahahha

Oh wow. That is the best political ad I've seen in a while.
  • "John Brabender, the Santorum strategist who made the video, said it was a trailer for an eight-part series that will start in two weeks. Each of those videos will show how various Obama policies, such as those regarding health care and energy, have affected everyday life."

    awesome

Implying who the USA picks for a president doesn't directly effect almost every other country on earth.

Implying who any country picks as a leader doesn't directly effect almost every other country on earth.

Trust me, you DON'T want Santorum to win.

Rick Santorum understands that the events of September 11, 2001 brought to our front door the uncomfortable truth that attacks on our soil are not merely a distant possibility, but a harsh reality.

To combat this threat, Rick refused to back down from those who wish to destroy America. Rick Santorum understands that those who wish to destroy America do so because they hate everything we are – a land of freedom, a land of prosperity, a land of equality. Rick knows that backing down to the Jihadists means that we are only putting our foundational principles at greater risk. As an elected representative, Rick knew that his greatest responsibility was to protect the freedoms we enjoy – and we should not apologize for holding true to these principles.

That is why Rick refuses to call this a War on Terror, because, like Blitzkrieg, terror is a tactic. Rick believes our nation’s leaders must be honest with the American people and call this war what it is, a War with Radical Islam. Rick saw firsthand during the Bush Administration that without clearly defining who we are fighting and why we are fighting, the American people will never understand the great threat posed by our enemies.

Rick did not simply use his position in the United States Senate to fight rhetorical battles, he used every legislative tool at his disposal to combat rogue regimes that wish our nation harm. Rick spent 8 years on the Senate Armed Services Committee, where he fought to strengthen America’s military in the face of the Clinton Administration’s attempt to downsize our fighting capabilities.

In 2003, Rick authored and successfully fought for the passage of the “Syria Accountability Act” to combat the terrorist threat posed by Syria. By 2005, Rick was one of our nation’s first leaders to understand the threat posed by Iran, so he authored and passed the “Iran Freedom and Support Act” in the face of Democratic and Bush State Department opposition, which authorized Federal monies to support pro-democracy movements in Iran and keep the tyrannical dictator Mahmoud Ahmadinejad from obtaining a nuclear weapon.

Though the war in Iraq was unpopular in 2006, Rick refused to shy away from his belief that we need to confront our enemies. Though ridiculed by many in the mainstream media as a chicken little for talking about the threat posed by Ahmadinejad and Iran, Rick spent much of his campaign focused on the gathering storm that our enemies pose. In an election that was a referendum on the war, Rick was defeated.

Though he lost at the ballot box, Rick has not stopped fighting for the defense our nation. Since leaving the Senate in 2007, Rick created the “Program to Protect America’s Freedom” at the Ethics and Public Policy Center, where he worked to identify, study, and heighten awareness of the threats posed to America. Through his work, Rick spoke at dozens of university campuses and to thousands of college students about the threats to our nation and how it is critical that the next generation of leaders not back down, but defend our nation.
    Makes my skin crawl.
  • holy crap...if this info is real, i withdraw my statement lol

dont want this dude nuking my country just because we supported iran in his nuclear program...
  • I think all countries should be given nukes

    Ah, sad times on campus.
Guns and american schools, will it ever end? More firearm legislations need to come in, raising age, more background checks, more expensive guns.
  • Lol yeah, because in the South this never happens, where there are plenty of gun owners. Last time there was a murder on campus was 1992. Douche faced faggot.
Me? Calling me a douche faced faggot? HUH! Im not from the south btw...
  • guns dont kill people...

    people kill people
  • Guns don't kill people, uh uh. I kill people...with guns.
no the gun did the killing. You're just the useless noob who has opposable thumbs

Not entirely news but this IMO is a rather clever idea. Would be nicer if the mules got more out of it than just cocktails but without getting money involved it's probably the best they can get...
  • That is amusingly clever. But MG, you forgot, they get a cocktail AND a t shirt. :P Unfortunately for the company, smuggling out 2 free bottles at a time doesn't seem like really tapping into the lucrative market.
  • How could i forget the t-shirt?! :P Anyway I think it's mostly to generate brand awareness since it'll probably be the only non-Australian un-aged rum there, but other than that i'm not sure how the company benefits either (who pays for the alcohol? The bars or the mules? Or does the company just give the bottles away?).

    Moving on:

Wouldn't it be better to encourage more licenses to be issued rather than relaxing the law around such a dangerous substance? I mean it won't affect prices in licensed establishments since they will still be able to charge for the guaranteed safety but i suppose if you are going to sell the stuff unlicensed you better be sure you can do so safely to begin with :P

Ultimate timeout room for naughty children? I do wonder why it causes such effects when compared to a sensory deprivation chamber though...

Wow... Not dumb criminals, especially the taking of the coffee machines. Funnily enough stealing that much coffee pretty much explains how they stole that much coffee :P
  • The fugu thing is interesting, I very much agree with the chef's opinions on this one. That's dangerous stuff to just let anyone try and serve. Maybe if they just reduced the training time to 1 year instead of 2, and cut the exam fees a bit, they could achieve the same effect they want without completely nixing the licensing.

I... think I want to try this sound room. It sounds like it'd be an interesting experience. And it's not that far away! :P I wonder what their visitor regulations are...

Taking the machines makes me wonder if they are planning to try and open their own coffee shop or something.

  • Fugu is delicious when served correctly. Dno how it is otherwise :P
  • Served incorrectly....

"The diagnosis of pufferfish poisoning is based on the observed symptomology and recent dietary history.

Symptoms typically develop within 30 minutes of ingestion, but may be delayed by up to four hours; however, death once occurred within 17 minutes of ingestion.[21] Paresthesia of the lips and tongue is followed by sialorrhea, sweating, headache, weakness, lethargy, incoordination, tremor, paralysis, cyanosis, aphonia, dysphagia, seizures, dyspnea, bronchorrhea, bronchospasm, respiratory failure, coma, and hypotension. Gastroenteric symptoms are often severe and include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain. Cardiac arrhythmias may precede complete respiratory failure and cardiovascular collapse."

    Sounds like fun!

This i thought was neat, and there's even more interesting info at the linked tumblr from the main site.

    http://www.stuff.co.nz/oddstuff/6762459/Frozen-cows-in-cabin-may-be-blown-up

O_o Burn the cabin down or blow the bodies up... Tough choice... :P
  • The wobbling it does when in rapid motion is a bit unsettling but otherwise i find it rather impressive really. While people might not like where the technology is being led towards, you can't deny it is nonetheless an impressive feat.
  • I think the robot is pretty cool, they're doing a lot of good work. :)

gravity article is pretty lol for all the descriptions of the earth's shape. potato shaped, pumpkin shaped... those initial photos made him seem rather larger than he looks in the case though.

blowing the bodies up would still leave lots of fragments, right? wouldn't that still be a lot of water contaminents? kind of seems like a waste too, although I"m not sure what you could do with them...
  • As mentioned before, old news is old. The experiment in the initial article has already been proven flawed due to timing errors and another test confirmed the particles only traveled at the speed of light
