My biggest bottle neck right now is coal.

I guess I could just overload on Hunters and send them out for a billion parchments.

like does it reset everything like all the research done and all my kittens?

Everything.

If you reset over a certain amount (40) you get karma points. If you reset over 70 you get paragon points.

Karma gives you increased happiness which in turn gives you increased production, paragon gives you increased storage.
