I have to go to DC for work in October for a conference with the feds. I've never been so I'm staying an extra day and bringing the Mrs along. Any recommendations on tours we can go on or must see place. Also, good eateries?

Its ghetto lol. You look at all the great historical places, but everything around it... ghetto.

On a side note, do not bring any weapons as DC doesn't abide by the law of the land, and if you get pulled over, have some swiss navy handy.

I googled all that kinda stuff unreliable. Might do the best DC tour company thing. I just want to see the memorials and museums and stuff.maybe the Smithsonian?

We are flying in the Thursday night. My conference is all day Friday. Then we are flying home Saturday night. So maybe Thursday or Friday night we can get a bite to eat and hit the Smithsonian. Then Saturday morning do a bus tour of all the major sites.
