Anybody have that "Oh God, why?" pic? Seems appropriate here. Almost all the new Starwars media of the last 10 years or so has just been pretty mediocre, and now Disney is going to add their touches and probably going to milk the hell out of it even more? Please no.
My argument was that Disney has yet to butcher Marvel, in fact its better than ever, with a bigger name to back it up. I can only hope they do the same for LucasFilms, the Disney I grew up with is definitely not the Disney of today.
True it hasn't been butchered, but it is also a hugely diversified property and therefore harder to compare titles, even within itself. Starwars comparatively has less wriggle room, especially since the majority of the memorable stuff focused on so few characters. Though one could argue movie 7 as an excellent excuse to sever itself from the original trilogy and completely overhaul the franchise as it doesn't have a required story to tell like movies 1-3 did.

Nothing wrong with Disney...its not like they're Fox or Apple.
