Last week I overheard a lady saying oh if you don't vote you shouldn't have an opinion. Then she proceeds to say we are at war with everyone because Al Qaeda brought down a building. That we should have nuked all of the Middle East. It just went on and on. I attempted to interject that turning babies to glass or leaving du all over the place seems extreme. She justified it by stating that unlike other nations we apologize when we make mistakes. There are lots of those types it's even worse when they get into a group. The last I checked we gave Al Qaeda Libya, Afghanistan, and we're trying to get them to overthrow Syria. Meanwhile drug gangs are at the border beheading 40 people, and doing whatever they want. It's just too much for me to contemplate how to even converse with this so I just finished my smoke and went inside.
Yea Dank I am maddened by how now we help Al-Qaeda. I am lost and confused on it and I feel it is a betrayal to my friends who didnt make it back from the main war. Stupid. Yea Amog we arent all self righteous. Now it goes without saying I have a lot of pride for my country. I think everyone does. Maybe Americans are just more boastful. Not always bad but can be annoying when you hear it all the time. What we need to do though is not be the World Police Force and we need to stop being so vocal in other countries politics even if it pertains to our own interests. If that would happen and we became less in your face olympic gold then I see ppl accepting us a little better. After all we are all very similar in culture.
Tbh, politically you guys are friends, and on paper there's nothing wrong with Americans. Until you meet some and get irritated by their loud mouths and arrogance. But what bugs me most is their assumption that America is the greatest nation on earth, like it's the only free nation that lives well above the poverty line, when in reality their standard of living is below quite a few others.

Oh let me guess, this isn't arrogance - just 'pointing out the facts'. I think the people I can tolerate best on this planet are the ones who stop having these heavily generalized arguments.
The only thing wrong with Australia are the Southern Croos tattoo'd morons that run around during Australia Day glassing Arabs and taxi drivers. She was with me at my place for the weekend and we had sex for the whole weekend. Didn't do much else than had sex and she shows her pleasure with being noisy. My neighbours were amazed, because this guy had already tried that. Because the whole situation came so all suddenly I didn't ask them to join our party next weekend. What they did instead was that they started to be more noisy in bed. It just didn't last as long.
