Unable to type certain special characters

Since a few days I am unable to send certain messages, there is no error and it seems the message has been sent but it does not show in 'Sent Messages' and the message is not being received. Same goes for the chat. It seems that most messages with an apostrophy in them are nog getting through.

    @Bcartfall - it happened when bcart switched to a new server a couple rounds ago. One of his preivious fixes doesn't stick anymore and it happens to be one of the most annoying ones.

    extremely annoying bug. blame server/db/whatever for mishandeling ' codes
