  • i bet you were itching to win today wernt you, well done Arsenal, even though they didnt deserve it and that corrupt cunt Howard Webb was refereeing, well done regardless. The reds left the Emirates with their heads held high knowing that on the day they were 100% the better team. I dont think Arsenal left Anfield lastweek feeling that way did they ?

Lets just wait till the end of the season and see what, by your account, the best midfield in the world have won. Then we will talk.

You will definitely NOT be saying that if you win the trophy though will ya? ;)
  • i will still say it, i simply dont care about the fa cup and i only pointed this out because of the trash talk from last week
  • Isn't asking LFC fans to suck a dick like asking a fish to get into the water?
  • A win is a win
  • i will still say it, i simply dont care about the fa cup and i only pointed this out because of the trash talk from last week
the fact you dont care about the F.A cup means your football opinions will never mean anything atall. Stick to NFL brah.
  • my opinions carry the same currency as yours homie. sports is money

    They dont.
  • you're right, actually. you see teams are businesses who are trying to grow, fans like you simply are not very important because they are going to have you anyway. fans in growing markets like me are much more important to the growth of a club.

i guess you really dont matter.
  • you calling Arsenal a growing market?
  • no, i'm calling the US a growing market, for soccer at least.

but also, arsenal just released their income numbers and they certainly are growing.
  • artificial fans like yourself will never matter, fans like me who eat, sleep and breathe football and have done since i was a young child will always mean 100x more than you. Always remember that scrub.
  • your team takes you for granted. that must really suck for you. i'm here if you keep needing a shoulder to cry on.

hahahahahaha you're just another twat in the corporate seats who knows nothing of your club. You care more about what you see on the scoreboard than what you actually see on the pitch. Call yourself an Arsenal fan? I bet you've never even heard of Ian Wright

EDIT: Go ask any of the rich owners how much of a profit they make on their clubs. Nothing mate. Nothing at all. You want to win, you spend just as much as you bring in. Business...Don't make me laugh
  • I thought you were referencing Arsenal. On top of that, USA is never giong to be in the same league as any major clubs. USA always just gets scraps of the rest of the world because they pay a lot for shit players. Only reason why any interest is growing in the states is Immigrants
  • itt: people argue over who's soccer fanclub is cooler!

Flames speaks a lot of truth, I like football but i'd never sit down and even try to talk about it with a real football fan. Football will never be huge in america its just the way it is I think.

Its because we already have 4-5 major sports that mainly exist in america and a hundred years of history for them, soccer just doesnt fit the advertising model as well as something like football
I think I would agree with you to a degree. However saying soccer doesn't fit the adertising model isn't correct in itself. I would say the usual advertising model would get amazing results in other countries when put together with soccer, because lets be honest soccer fans are a lot more passionate and in some cases rabid than almost any other sport fan.
  • US clubs will never be in the big leagues, that is true. but US fans are highly prized because it is income potential. America's strongest export is its commercialism and everyone all over the world wants a piece of that.

your team might not make money, but mine does *shrugs* American owner and all.

Thank you for completely proving my point

Now go check the nationality of Liverpool's owners. I'm not even an LFC fan, I just can't stand how pathetic you are as a sports fan
  • you guys are sad little boys. this idea that you are a better "fan" than anyone is comical to any adult who is grown up enough to realize that all things belong in moderation. i guess if your life sucks and your sports team is all you have that may be to blame here. i'm still the demographic your team cares about the most, and you are taken for granted. sucks to be you i guess.

You have no idea what you are talking about, you will never know what it means to be a fan. Like i said, stick to NFL brah.
  • If all life is, is about moderation thats not a life I want to lead. Life isn't fun if you don't cut loose and lose yourself sometimes in what you enjoy. Some people its video games sometimes its sports. All that matters is that it makes you happy and you can overindulge sometimes
  • this thread is a waste of technology
  • me posting here is a waste of technology
  • dog shit really darius? I would like to think that the most popular sport in the world is not dog shit. You may not like it or appreciate it, does not make it dog shit. Next would be like I said the only reason why the MLS teams are getting more popular is because of Immigrants. End of story, not marketing blah blah blah bullshit. I live in Vancouver and I will guarantee that the whitecaps majority supporters are Foreigners.
  • overindulging SOMETIMES i called moderation...obviously
  • I feel the same way about MLB, yet look how popular it is... can't tell me those guys are any more athletic or the sport is more entertaining than soccer.

    Step 1: hit ball
Step 2: most people watch ball fly while a half dozen people run.
    Step 3: hit ball

And to Azalieo... I am so damn happy you aren't a hockey fan. We don't need your kind in our sport. Overindulging is what makes it so much fun... I can't imagine being any less of a fan than I am, like what is even the point?
  • Baseball is less athletic than soccer, 3/4 of the time you don't even move lol.
  • NHL and NFL are similar in that... I'm more inclined to hockey, obviously, and I don't think my arguments for it are wrong. Comes down to personal preference though.

Racquetball is good, I play it casually... played it way more in highschool tbh, would like to get back into it.
