And the 3 leads were always a bit of a gamble because they were always going to grow up and no one could know how good or bad of an actor/actress they would be

But agreed, Gambon's Dumbledore was far too aggressive. I mean the bit where he shouts "Don't you all have classes to go to?!" in the 5th movie?? What was that??
